Shocking Visual Representation of 10 Mental Disorders

Christian Sampson, a 21-year-old photographer from Peru, Indiana recently launched a school project for physical illness (cancer) which ended being a powerful visual representation of mental disorders; his album shows the daily struggle of common man with unseen mental disorders.

“These were touchy subjects so I did rigorous research to make sure I depicted it accurately,” Sampson says.

Though short of funds for the project, Sampson compiled a list of mental disorders and succeeded in getting his friends to act as models. Within eight weeks, he took photos that actually matched the description of the disorders he listed.
