Majority of Mental Illness sufferers pretend all is well whenever they are out of their room, but resume back to their state whenever they are behind closed doors. This might not be unconnected to the rampaging manner of mental illness stigmatization. They wouldn’t be blamed for that though, but might deprive them of necessary care.
Mental illness sufferers sometimes cultivate the dual way of life so as to mask their symptoms in order to function in the outside world, said Liz Obert who painstakingly carried out this study on both herself and others.
Liz always lying down and feeling hopeless whenever she returns home, contrary to how she acted outside. She was diagnosed with bipolar II disorder few years ago, reports David Rosenberg
I hope to give a glimpse to the viewer about the internal lives of people who struggle with disorders that are often misunderstood,” said Liz.
In 2008, she began a series that depict the dual way of live of people living with mental illness including herself. She took the following dual photos showing the dream of each mental illness sufferer, and as well as how they feel in their lonely world.
