Haunting photos borne of terrible nightmare to depict the sleeplessness, feelings of fear and visions of every victim of sleep paralysis.
Nicolas Bruno, conceptual photographer, who has been haunted by sleep paralysis since he was 15, decided to let the world see his terrifying visions that occur in the muddy transitional space between sleep and wakefulness; while setting for sleep (hypnagogia) or waking up (hypnopompia).

“I have experienced bone chilling hallucinations and extreme terror during these dreams. Faceless silhouetted figures, embraces from shadow-like hands, warping of reality around me – all while [feeling] completely paralyzed.”
