When asked how it felt like having postpartum depression, Marie talked about the guilt that follows postpartum depression, and the thoughts that she was failing at motherhood. She often joked that, when she was incapable, the hospital should be sued for negligence for allowing her to go home with the baby.
“That’s the sad part about depression, is it really takes away all your logic, your rationale,” Marie said.
