What Psychologists Think of Kanye West’s Twitter Rants

Psychologists say Kanye West has been an interesting case study for years; most especially for his grandiose rants, controversial stunts, as well as the nemesis he attracts. Kanye tweets have been causing impassioned debates among his fans.

His recent tweet about his new album and fashion line gained so many reactions; causing people to think what could be going on with the self-proclaimed pop deity. Is Kanye West Mentally OK?

People believe pop-culture has pop-psychologized Kanye as being a narcissist, an egomaniac; to further shed light on Kanye’s situation, many renowned psychologists have analysed a selection of Kanye’s tweets and came up with their unfettered thoughts.

Geoff Beattie, a Professor of Psychology at Edge Hill University made known his view as he analyse Kanye as self-praiser:

This is not album of the year. This is album of the life.

“Most people realise that self-praise is not really that interesting, but people who are high on narcissism are experts at complimenting themselves. They’re looking for people to tell them how good they are but, failing that, they will use strategies to self-praise.” said Geoff.
